Goodbye Newtype USA, Hello PiQ?
JAN 10 2008 -/- PiQ, a new magazine focusing on manga, anime, games and other parts of anime culture will replace Newtype USA starting in mid-March.
According to an email...
... sent out, existing subscribers to Newtype "will have their remaining issues fulfilled at a two-to-one ratio, meaning you will get double the number of magazines delivered straight to your doorstep" (A.N.N.).
Licensed by ADV, Newtype USA reportedly had comparable circulation to competitor magazine Anime Insider with about 50,000 to 75,000 copies per month.
You can purchase back-issues of the magazine for about $10 at ADV's online shop.
