Danson performed his hit single 最愛還是你 [Zui Ai Hai Shi Ni] [I Still Love You the Most] to kick off the autograph event. The GuangZhou fans were extremely enthusiastic, giving Danson all sorts of presents: flowers, cards, and necklaces, etc. One of the fans even helped Danson put on a bracelet with his English name engraved on it, moving him considerably. In order to repay his fans and show his gratitude toward them, Danson was especially warm during the autograph event, shaking hands with many of his fans, greeting them, and asking after their welfare. The fans present that day frequently screamed out his name; a greater number of fans would scream out "OuYang Gan!", the name of his character in It Started With a Kiss II: They Kiss Again, just to attract his attention.
Danson loves to sing; indeed, that was his original motive for entering the entertainment industry; however, contrary to his original intentions, he formed ties with acting, instead. Over time, however, Danson became more and more fascinated with acting and appeared in many TV dramas and serials.
Despite playing supporting characters for a long time, Danson has still been able to build up an immense fanbase. In the upcoming drama 翻滾吧！蛋炒飯 [Rolling Love/Turn Over! Fried Rice], which will begin broadcasting in early May, Danson will take on the role of a male lead for the first time; he and Fahrenheit’s Jiro Wang DongCheng are the two male leads and have been given equal importance in the script. In a stark contrast to their real-life relationship and close friendship, the two men play adversaries in the drama, competing both in the kitchen and for love.
His performance in Rolling Love is the one with which, up till now, Danson has been the most pleased; however, the filming of the drama has also been the hardest that he has ever experienced. Because he plays a chef in the drama, Danson had to slice the vegetables and other ingredients, as well as cook and stir-fry them, himself! He would often accidentally cut or burn himself.
When asked about his kitchen skills in real life and whether or not he has ever made a meal for a girl, Danson immediately became shy. He expressed that he has only made some simple dishes for his mother before, but that the flavor and taste of the dishes seemed quite nice.
In addition to his success in the drama and music industries, Danson has also published a book (with bonus DVD), 失落的天堂 [Shi Luo De Tian Tang] [Paradise Lost], and a portrait and essay pictorial, D調型男 [D Diao Xing Nan] [Low Profile Sexy Man, D], both of which were extremely well-received. Danson also revealed that the main focus of his current work is still music.
Aside from Mainland China, Danson also plans on visiting places like Thailand, Japan, etc., as part of his promotional tour. After finishing the promotions for his debut album 愛我 [Love Me], he will begin to prepare for his sophomore album; only after completion of the album will he accept a new drama.*
